Easy DIY Lace Votive Holders

Skill Level: Easy

Materials:

• 1/3 yard 4″-wide gathered lace fabric
• 1 felt square in cream
• Fabric stiffener
• Scissors
• Hand needle
• Thread
• Sponge brush
• 3″-diameter water bottle

Directions:

1. Cut a 3″ diameter circle from cream felt. Hand-stitch gathered edge of the trim around the edge of the circle and trim to fit with edges overlapping slightly. Hand-stitch raw edges of the trim together.
2. Slip lace votive holder over bottom edge of water bottle and paint with stiffening liquid. Let dry, checking to make sure it doesn’t dry to the bottle.

Caution: Always use a glass votive inside to protect lace from catching on fire.
