It’s that time of year where the going gets tough and the tough starts gifting!

I don’t know about you but I have still have gifts to wrap, purchase, and CREATE.

3 EASY Last Minute Gift Ideas

So if you are looking for some easy, ON TREND, gift ideas I have you covered with 3 EASY last-minute suggestions…

1. Faux Fur Pom Pom Beanie

Materials: Faux Fur, stuffing (ie. Cotton balls, poly filling/stuffing), a knitted beanie, and needle and thread.

  • Cut a circle that is 6” in diameter out of faux fur Hancock Fabrics has the BEST line of fur here;
  • With needle and thread run a gathering stitch around your circle ½” away from the cut line;
  • Pull thread to gather, stuff pom pom, and attach to beanie.

2. Tassel Necklace

Materials: tassel from the home dec department, beads and chain from Hancock Fabrics’ jewelry department.

  • Thread chunky beads onto the loop attached to the tassel;
  • Thread the chain through the opening of the loop;
  • Securely attach the ends of the chain together to create a LONG sternum grazing necklace.

3. Embellished Clutch

Materials: clutch, spool of ribbon trim (sold in stores), and permanent glue, E6000

  • Write desired word with glue and adhere ribbon carefully, clip ends.
    I recommend practice on a separate piece of paper so you get the feel the glue & sequins.
    My practice paper was roughly the same size of the clutch, I drew it with pencil first on paper, then glue, then the real thing.

Now, I could take more time and tell you why creating gifts are the best (they are – those are the ones I keep the longest),

explain why they are ON TREND and here to stay (3 names: Nicole, Anthropologie, & Kate),

and the minutes you will spend creating these will be faster than searching for them in retail (less than 30 minutes to create – well… 24hrs for the glue to dry)

BUT it’s crunch time people!

Now GO. CRAFT (aka de-stress). WRAP. And repeat, repeat, repeat.

Happy Holidays everyone, it’s been especially fun to create and share with you all and look forward to getting to together next month!

May you enjoy the love and excitement the season brings with friends and family in good health and safety!
